Tweed Jailhouse

Tweed Jailhouse

Stay out of trouble and you won’t be sent behind bars of the Tweed Jailhouse, one of the smallest jailhouses in Ontario and in North America.

Built in 1891, the building has been converted into Tweed’s community police station and has had its picture snapped many times for its meagre size, as it measures a mere 4.9 by 6.1 metres (approx. 16 by 20 feet).
