Barry’s Bay

Barry's Bay

Barry’s Bay, is a small community of approximately 1,200 residents, located in the heart of Madawaska Valley. This town draws visitors from far and wide seeking a relaxing hamlet away from city life, where they can indulge in the draw of nature, the neighbouring lakes, and peace of mind.

Rent a kayak, canoe, or sailboat and plan an adventure amongst the stunning backdrops of tree-covered hills and valleys. For those who prefer to stay land-bound, grab your clubs and head over to Barry’s Bay Golf Club, where you can enjoy lakefront scenery while playing the course. In winter months, skiers and snowboards can hit the slopes at Madawaska Mountain.

In town, be sure to stop by the historic railway station which doubles as the Barry’s Bay tourist office and is the home to the South of 60 Arts Centre. And don’t forget to grab a photo in front of the town’s water tower, the last remaining wooden water tower in Ontario.

This town is located in Upper Ottawa Valley
