Sharbot Lake

In the heart of the Land O’ Lakes region you’ll find Sharbot Lake, a stunning village that’s only an hour’s drive from Ottawa, Kingston, and Gananoque. Come for the solitude or the adventure of the outdoors – either way, Sharbot Lake is sure to please and will leave you feeling restored.

From a motorboat or canoe you can explore the lake’s luminous waters. Water skiers can make waves and swimmers can have a blast splashing near shore. As one of Ontario’s parks, Sharbot Lake Provincial Park offers a number of campsites so you can extend your nature experience. There are also bed and breakfasts, cottage rentals, a lodge, and a country inn to base your stay.

Back at the lake, fishermen will be pleased to hear there are bass, northern pickerel, and pan fish waiting to be reeled in. Canoers and swimmers will want to check out the neighbouring and connecting body of water called Black Lake for calmer waters and two sandy beaches.
